Donna Reid-Washington (MHS, LPC) , a native of Charlotte, NC and raised in Washington, DC, is a successful self-help and counseling expert. As a licensed professional counselor Donna guides others to broaden their perspectives. After 40 years in The District of Columbia Public School System, she retired to focus on her thriving practice, Love First PLLC emphasizing love as lifeās core value.
Donnaās mission is to help individuals cultivate self-love, retrain their minds, and navigate lifeās challenges positively.
Donnaās counseling approach centers on person-centered therapy, following Carl Rogersā Theory of Personality, which emphasizes inherent positivity in individuals ā he/she is a trustworthy organism. Utilizing this client-centered and eclectic approach, Donna identifies possibilities, purpose, and potential in her clients. By understanding their unique perspectives on the issue they face, and their emotional responses, she tailors therapeutic strategies to suit their needs.
